Artist's Statement:

“To me, photography is an art of observation.  It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. . . I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” ~ Elliott Erwin  

I’m not a professional photographer in any sense of the word.  "Photographers" are supposed to know about every camera out there, how each lense works, what an “f” stop is, the exact shutter speed to use, and they have probably taken several different classes and have a thorough understanding of Photoshop.   I wish I could say the same for myself, and hopefully, one of these days, I will!

Until that day, I continue to be a mom, a wife, and a lover of the great big beautiful outdoors. Photography is my hobby and my passion.  I experience much satisfaction and joy when capturing something beautiful on camera - whether it is a magnificent landscape or a seemingly ordinary insect. Photography is a world of exploration – of seeing the extraordinary in something that may, at first glance, seem so ordinary.  Being able to capture that beauty and share it with others is something I love and wish I could do every day. 

Despite my lack of technical knowledge, I hope some of my photos are as appealing to your eye as they were to mine when I discovered them.  I am happy to share my passion with you for a far greater charitable cause, and I look forward to the continued learning and exploration this venue has inspired me with.
